Registration Requirements
A valid e-mail account is required to register.
A $50.00 non-refundable per-child Registration Fee is due at the time of in-person registration or by calling the office to charge your card on file. Discounts for families with multiple children are not available.
Only debit or credit card payments are accepted. No cash payments. All Latchkey bills will be sent via electronic statements. Payments are only accepted Online.
All previous outstanding balances must be made before registering online for MMSA Latchkey 2026-2027.
Timeline
Student(s) may begin attending Latchkey one week after completing the online registration process, as long as space is available and the parent has selected the attendance dates.
Same-day registration and “Drop-In” Latchkey Services are not available.
Procedure

Important Information For The 2026-2027 School Year
In order to ensure that all MMSA families have the opportunity to participate in quality before and after-school care, students must be registered in Latchkey and families must pre-select Latchkey dates of attendance a minimum of one (1) week in advance (as space is available). Same-day registration and “Drop-In” Latchkey Services are not available.
After completing the registration process, parents will pre-select dates of attendance in advance on a first-come, first-served basis until the attendance date(s) are full.
When selecting the attendance dates in advance, MMSA respectfully requests that you only select those dates that you know your son/daughter will attend. Families will be charged for all pre-selected dates, regardless of whether or not the student attends.
Before-School Latchkey Program
Before-school Latchkey is designed for families who need child care before school starts. Latchkey opens at 6:30 AM and runs until the start of school. Students must be registered at MMSA Dequindre to attend before-school Latchkey.
The cost for attending before-school Latchkey is $5.00 per day for each child who attends. Discounts for families with multiple children are not available. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to MMSA Dequindre.
Same-day registration and “Drop-In” Latchkey Services are not available.
After-School Latchkey Program
TAfter-school Latchkey is designed for families who need childcare from the time school ends until 6:00 PM. Students must be registered at MMSA Dequindre in grades to attend after-school Latchkey.
The cost of after-school Latchkey is $7.00 per day for each child who attends. Discounts for families with multiple children are not available. Parents are responsible for picking up their children from the Latchkey site by 6:00 pm.
- Late Pickup Rate = $1 for every minute after 6:00 PM until 6:15 PM.
- Late Pickup Rate = $3 for every minute after 6:15 PM until 6:30 PM.
Same-day registration and “Drop-In” Latchkey Services are not available.
Macomb County Children Services will be notified if a child is not picked up by 6:30 PM or is picked up late on a regular basis.
Early-Release School Procedures
Latchkey is not available on early release days.
